Coconut

The coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) is a member of the family Arecaceae (palm family).

It is the only accepted species in the genus Cocos. The term coconut can refer to the entire coconut palm, the seed, or the fruit, which, botanically, is a drupe, not a nut. The spelling cocoanut is an archaic form of the word. The term is derived from the 16th-century Portuguese and Spanish word coco meaning "head" or "skull", from the three indentations on the coconut shell that resemble facial features.

The coconut is known for its great versatility as seen in the many uses of its different parts and found throughout the tropics and subtropics. Coconuts are part of the daily diets of many people. Coconuts are different from any other fruits because they contain a large quantity of "water" and when immature they are known as tender-nuts or jelly-nuts and may be harvested for drinking. When mature, they still contain some water and can be used as seednuts or processed to give oil from the kernel, charcoal from the hard shell and coir from the fibrous husk. The endosperm is initially in its nuclear phase suspended within the coconut water. As development continues, cellular layers of endosperm deposit along the walls of the coconut, becoming the edible coconut "flesh". When dried, the coconut flesh is called copra. The oil and milk derived from it are commonly used in cooking and frying; coconut oil is also widely used in soaps and cosmetics. The clear liquid coconut water within is potable. The husks and leaves can be used as material to make a variety of products for furnishing and decorating. The coconut also has cultural and religious significance in many societies that use it.

Acrocomia aculeata

Acrocomia aculeata is a species of palm native to tropical regions of the Americas, from southern Mexico and the Caribbean south to Paraguay and northern Argentina. Common names include grugru palm, macaúba palm, coyol palm, and macaw palm; synonyms include A. lasiospatha, A. sclerocarpa, A. totai, and A. vinifera.

Description

It grows up to 15-20 m tall, with a trunk up to 50 cm in diameter, characterized by numerous slender, black, viciously sharp 10 cm long spines jutting out from the trunk. The leaves are pinnate, 3-4 m long, with numerous slender, 50-100 cm long leaflets. Petioles of the leaves are also covered with spines. The flowers are small, produced on a large branched inflorescence 1.5 m long. The fruit is a yellowish-green drupe 2.5-5 cm in diameter. The inner fruit shell, also called endocarp, is very tough to break and contains usually one single, dark brown, nut-like seed 1-2 cm in diameter. The inside of the seed, also called endosperm, is a dry white filling that has a vaguely sweet taste like coconut when eaten.

In Reverie is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Saves the Day.

Composition

In Reverie showed the band continuing to explore even more than the sounds on Stay What You Are. The music became far more musically sophisticated and mellow in every aspect. Conley's voice also changed, becoming much softer and nasal in timbre.

"What Went Wrong" is about a kid who is being strip-searched despite having done nothing wrong.

Release

On June 10, 2003 In Reverie was announced for release. It was released through DreamWorks on September 16. A few weeks after the album's release, DreamWorks was absorbed by Interscope Records and not long after, Saves the Day were dropped from the label.

In April 2009, the band was tentatively planning to re-release the album with up to 12 additional tracks, including demos and B-sides.

Reception

In Reverie is Saves the Day's highest-charting album to date, reaching number 27 on the Billboard 200 album chart in 2003. The album was a commercial disappointment for the band and would soon change the bands direction in their next two albums Sound the Alarm and Under the Boards.

Grease is a music party game for the Wii and DS based on the film of the same name. 505 Games has developed the game along with Paramount Digital Entertainment as a part of a partnership. It was later followed in 2011 by the release of the video game Grease Dance for the Xbox 360 Kinect.

The game involves following the moves shown by the characters on the screen to a song from the film.

Development

505 Games have announced that Zoë Mode and Big Head Games are signed on to develop the game. Zoe Mode are best known for developing such games as the SingStar series and the EyeToy: Play games. Big Head Games is a small video game publisher/developer responsible for a few iPhone/iPod Touch games including one based on The Terminator movie.

Glease

"Glease" is the sixth episode of the fourth season of the American musical television series Glee, and the seventy-second episode overall. It aired on Fox in the United States on November 15, 2012, and features the McKinley High production of the musical Grease, and the return of special guest star Kate Hudson as Cassandra July.

Plot

With the McKinley production of Grease approaching, Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) names Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) as interim director of New Directions during his sabbatical in Washington, D.C. Cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) opposes, citing Finn's age and lack of qualifications, but Principal Figgins (Iqbal Theba) agrees, which angers Sue. Finn later apologizes to Sue for the insensitive comment he made about her daughter, but she rejects his apologies and declares her truce with the glee club to be over. In order to sabotage the play, Sue reserves the school auditorium for the Cheerios, preventing New Directions from practicing there. Forced to find a new rehearsal venue, he invites the male glee club members to rehearse at Burt Hummel's auto repair shop, where Ryder Lynn (Blake Jenner) and Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet) lead them in a rendition of "Greased Lightnin'".
